Self-protection: avoidance to be seen
Hiding to feel safe
Rooted fear
Only needed at risk
Yet, cry in dept
Has nothing to wreck
Hidding for self-preservation
Towards inner debilitation
Weakens the soul to emend
To be seen spreads pain
Insecure of judgment
Downfall to disdain
“Where is my bread?” I asked
“Popcorns to you, no bread for me?”
Knocks my door, serves
Venom, they said was for me
I chose not drinking but living
My joy breaks envy apart
To share, is to be giving
Full of life, I chose to show up
